PERACE’S CONTRIBUTION TO MISSION 300
Nearly two million additional people now have access to electricity
Through the revolving fund, an electricity access facility established under PERACE, nearly two million Cameroonians now have access to electricity thanks to approximately 370,000 connections completed by the end of April 2026. These achievements represent a significant national contribution toward the goals of “Mission 300”.
“Mission 300” is a major continental initiative co-led by the World Bank Group and the African Development Bank Group (AfDB). Its main objective is to provide access to electricity to 300 million people in Sub-Saharan Africa by 2030. This initiative aims to break energy poverty on a continent where nearly 600 million people still live without access to electricity.
