Compensation and resettlement benefits
This component will finance compensation and indemnity payments as part of the land acquisition process for the PERACE project in the East, Far North, and North-West regions, as well as the funding of safeguard activities in the Adamawa and North regions. It is structured into two (2) sub-components:
(i) Sub-component 6.1: Compensation, which will cover compensation payments in the East, Far North, and North-West regions, as well as the work of the Compensation and Evaluation Commissions (CEC) in the Adamawa and North regions;
(ii) Sub-component 6.2: Dedicated to the preparation of safeguard instruments in the Adamawa and North regions.
Sub-component 4.1: Strengthening the institutional capacity of the electricity sector
This sub-component will support MINEE, ARSEL, EDC, and AER through analytical and advisory activities, training, logistical support—particularly the coverage of travel expenses related to project activities—as well as the acquisition of equipment, office space, and vehicles.
